Stocks and Yoke Design
wanted to build some self-bondage stocks for ages and finally I got an
email from Zack showing how it might be done. Thanks Zack!
trick is to modify a t-strap (good ol' Home Depot again!) It's a
regular t-shaped piece of light steel that I modified to allow it to
act as a pivot
What might not be obvious from my drawing is that the t-strap needs to be
bolted onto the frame of the stocks using a spacer (A few washers does
the trick). This gives the t-strap the necessary looseness to pivot
around the fixing screw - it needs to be free to move else the small
weight wouldn't be able to pull it free.
I can vouch that this system works perfectly, every time
This is a modification of the stocks release system.
Although the stocks system is great for static bondage the dangling weights
make it impractical for wearing a pillory or yoke around the house
So Zack came up with this change to allow for a more mobile experience
Instead of a t-strap I used simple flat bracket and made some cuts in it to make a catch system
device no longer relies on ice for release. Instead I have to find a
pencil or some other long thin implement with which to push the catch
The hardest part of the setup for this system, is making sure there are
no suitable release implements laying around the house at a height I can
reach them. You'd be surprised how inventive someone can be when they crave
